Borås, Västra Götaland County, Sweden
I am Joshua Etienne, an aspiring Human Rights Lawyer with a deep-rooted passion for humanitarian issues. My dedication to the legal field is reflected in my extensive volunteering work, where I have held significant leadership roles and made substantial contributions. My journey began with the Red Cross in Borås, where I served as the Vice-President, leading operations and affairs of the board. I then moved on to Amnesty Kungsbacka, where I managed the group’s records as the Secretary. My commitment to humanitarian causes led me to the Society of International Affairs in Göteborg, where I served as the President, overseeing operations and affairs of the board. I further honed my financial acumen during my tenure as the Treasurer at 4H Norway, where I was responsible for tracking all financial transactions and event planning related to financial costs. My most recent role was as the Operations Manager at Red Cross Göteborg, where I oversaw all activities within the organization and ensured that policies were followed. One of my notable projects was organizing a musical concert/bake-sale at Aranäsgymnasiet in Kungsbacka under the theme: “Save Ukraine”. All financial earnings were donated to Red Cross on behalf of Ukraine, for which I was awarded a certificate of appreciation by Aranäsgymnasiet. I am comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven, and team environments and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. I am fluent in English, have intermediate proficiency in Swedish, and basic knowledge of French. I am tech-savvy and have strong skills in leadership, flexibility, teamwork, time management, and work ethics. I am driven, motivated, and passionate about spreading hope to the world and am looking forward to bringing my skills and experiences to a challenging role in the legal field, particularly in human rights law.
