Key Responsibilities: 1. Team Management: • Supervise and lead a team of payroll specialists or administrators. • Provide training, guidance, and support to team members. • Monitor team performance and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. 2. Payroll Processing: • Oversee the end-to-end payroll processing cycle, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national tax laws, labor regulations, and payroll policies. • Handle complex payroll issues, discrepancies, and escalations. 3. Reporting & Compliance: • Prepare and review payroll reports for senior management and government compliance. • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and labor regulations that affect payroll. 4. System Management: • Maintain and update payroll systems to ensure smooth operations. • Troubleshoot any system-related issues and collaborate with IT for improvements. • Ensure data security and privacy for all payroll-related information. 5. Collaboration & Communication: • Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure data accuracy and consistency. • Communicate payroll policies and procedures to employees. • Address employee inquiries related to pay, deductions, and benefits. 6. Process Improvement: • Continuously assess payroll processes for efficiency and accuracy.
