Passionate about building product regulation and testing, with a focus on facades and cladding, external and internal wall systems, structural flooring, and product safety; predominantly Australian based but with international exposure through Asia-Pac, Europe and North America
-Managing a team of 3 full-time and between 3 and 5 contract technical staff and trades people responsible for mechanical and structural systems testing of new product developments and product line extensions, development of new test methods for factory QA testing, and internal auditing of factory QA labs. -Responsible for certification of all new product lines and building systems, and maintaining certification of all existing product lines and building systems, across the Asia-Pacific businesses, to a variety of Australian and International codes and standards. -Responsible for the Laboratory Quality Management System to ISO17025, NATA accreditation of the R&D facilities (including regular internal auditing and management reviews). -Responsible for maintenance of laboratory facilities in R&D and factory QA labs across the Asia-Pacific region. -Responsible for Work Health and Safety Management System and monthly safety training and auditing for the entire Asia-Pacific R&D team of 42 full-time staff and 16 contract staff, reporting to the Director of R&D Asia-Pac. -Act as Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) representative on Standards Australia committee BD-040 - Fibre Cement Building Products -ISO/TC77 Project Leader for ISO 8336 standard
