As a Senior Consultant in Organizational Change Management at Deloitte, I lead and support clients through complex transformations by developing and executing change strategies that drive adoption, engagement, and sustainable results.
Directing the operations of 3 middle schools, I steer operations teams in reaching goals. I also manage HR for 130 people and administer school budgets. I’m a member of the school leadership team as second-in-command to the principal, and I serve on the School Operations Team that supports a network of 41 schools. ORGANIZATIONAL IMPROVEMENTS ► Driving staff satisfaction with resources and tools to 100%, I meticulously manage procurement, vendor relations, and inventory. ► I navigated schools through the shift from MS Office to Google Drive, improving efficiency and information access. ► Against fierce competition, we met and exceeded enrollment targets through strategic planning and sound procedures for student follow-up and orientation. TEAM LEADERSHIP ► I coach and support 2 operations directors, yielding top performance and schools on track to meet their goals. ► In the human resources management sphere of influence, I guided 5 direct reports with a dotted line to 125 people, overseeing all HR matters. ► Playing a key role in scaling the network from 36 to 41 schools, I collaborated across the School Operations Team to advise schools and provide support. STUDENT AND FAMILY ENGAGEMENT ► During COVID-related school shut-downs, I led the remote learning program, ensuring 100% of students and families had the necessary technology and resources. ► I drove the return to in-person school operations, achieving 98% family satisfaction with safety policies. ► To maximize student attendance, I held attendance team meetings every 2 weeks and launched student incentives. BUDGETING ► For the last 6 years straight, I have balanced the budget across 3 schools, with monthly surpluses.
In addition to serving as the lead teacher for an 8th-grade math class, I led the 8th-grade teacher team and headed the Teacher in Resident program, coaching and managing 5 Teachers in Residence. ► With “Exemplary” gains in the Achievement First Teacher Career Pathway program, 98% of students scored Level 3 or 4 on the NYS test. ► I led meetings of the 8th-grade teaching team, planned special events, and guided the team through initiatives for Unit Unpacking, Looking at Student Work, and Intellectual Preparation. ► I participated in the Leadership Fellows Cohort, honing my skills in instructional leadership, diversity, adaptive leadership, and coaching.
In one of the largest school systems in the country, I taught three 8th-grade general education math classes, including 20 students with IEPs, and previously taught 7th-grade math. ► In my first year, I increased achievement on the 7th-grade state test, from 15% of students at Level 3 to 52%. Students scoring at Level 1 dropped from 33% to 0%.
Fresh out of college, I was chosen from among ~20,000 applicants nationwide to join the Corps and taught in under-resourced public schools.
