Hello! My research is focused on the investigation of ferroelectricity and related phenomena in complex oxide thin films growth via pulsed laser deposition. I am specifically interested in studying the effects of “morphological engineering” - modifying crystal structure via strain and doping - on ferroelectric properties.
Provided supplementary academic instruction in General Chemistry and Properties of Materials undergraduate courses
Pursuing a PhD. in Materials Engineering at the University of Illinois - Chicago. My research involves the use of pulsed laser deposition to study ferroelectric complex oxide thin films. Activities and societies: Black Graduate Student Association
Studied lithium sulfide-based composite materials for potential use as cathodes in high energy lithium-ion batteries.
Studied and worked to improve a variety of lithium-based energy storage materials, including: - 3d transition metal oxide anodes - Lithium phosphorus oxynitride (LiPON) solid electrolytes - Lithium sulfide cathodes
Participated in a 10-week summer internship. Researched and synthesized lithium titanate materials for use as anodes in lithium-ion batteries.
