About

I'm a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience at the intersection of clinical care, supervision, psychological assessment, and behavioral health leadership. My work spans outpatient, PHP/IOP, residential, correctional, school-based, and telehealth settings — giving me a rare breadth of perspective that informs both my clinical judgment and my leadership approach. At my core, I am a husband, a father, and someone who genuinely believes that the right support at the right moment can change the trajectory of a person's life. In the course of my career, I have worked across many corners of the mental health field. Along the way, I grew from direct patient care into clinical supervision, then into clinical director and executive director roles. I have also contributed to the research literature, publishing work on the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral treatments for late-life depression and on neuropsychological functioning in alcohol use disorder. Today, I am based in San Diego and provide psychotherapy and psychological assessment services throughout California via telehealth. My clinical focus includes mood disorders, trauma, and substance use disorders, and I specialize in ACT, DBT, CBT, MBSR, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. I also continue to supervise pre- and postdoctoral interns in their professional training. After more than two decades, what keeps me in this work is the same thing that drew me to it: supporting people. The colleagues who show up with compassion every day, the psychology interns who push themselves to grow professionally, and the patients who summon remarkable courage in pursuit of healing. If you are navigating recovery, processing trauma, or simply trying to find your footing again, I would be honored to walk that path with you!
