Qualified medical doctor (GP Partner) and past trainee surgeon with experience in healthcare management and research. Previous experience as Research & Development manager at a healthcare startup specialising in digital patient pathway management (OpenMedical). Previous management consultant at Big 4 consultancy (EY). Josh has worked on both primary and secondary care projects. He has project management experience and worked as part of a team implementing a primary care transformation programme at regional scale. He also has experience of improving operating theatres productivity and implementing cost improvement programmes. Josh worked as a surgical trainee in the Oxford School of Surgery where he completed rotations in Plastic Surgery and Trauma & Orthopaedics before transitioning to consulting. During this time he passed his postgraduate exams to gain eligibility for full Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons, England. He was also an anatomy tutor for Oxford University. Prior to joining the Oxford School of surgery, Josh secured a competitive Academic Foundation Post in the North West Thames deanery, allowing him to complete formal research at the Imperial School of Anaesthesia alongside his clinical commitments. Josh has a strong interest in research and has completed over 14 research projects, which have been presented globally at international conferences including; London, Singapore, New York and San Francisco. He has several publications in peer reviewed journals. To further his interest in business and healthcare management, Josh undertook a BSc in Management at Imperial College London Business School.
