About

I’m a Sophomore and ASEAN scholarship holder at the National University of Singapore, pursuing double bachelor's degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Life Sciences. My passion lies in biomedical research, specifically in cell biology and biochemistry. My undergraduate research experience involved characterising E. coli BL21(DE3) expressing the araC-pBAD-gfp genetic circuit in a synthetic biology lab.

Experience

  • Research Intern at A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs - A*STAR IDL
    May 2026 - Present · 3 mos

  • Academic Affairs Executive at NUS Life Sciences Society

  • Undergraduate Researcher at NUS Synthetic Biology for Clinical and Technological Innovation (SynCTI)
    May 2025 - Nov 2025 · 7 mos

Designed and implemented an automated protocol on the Opentrons® OT-2 high-precision liquid handling platform to streamline the characterisation of genetically engineered biological systems. This project focused on improving reproducibility and throughput in the study of genetically encoded biosensors, specifically E. coli BL21(DE3) carrying the araC-pBAD-gfp circuit.
