• Responsible for end of period, quarter, and year financial reporting for multiple agencies with a total annual revenue of $315M • Partner with and build relationships with agency executives to facilitate efficient information exchange between Omnicom corporate and the agencies • Assist with testing, implementing, and training for a new ERP system (Dynamics 365) and new reporting system (OneStream) used by all Omnicom agencies and service centers • Develop various Excel templates to streamline the import process between ERP and financial reporting systems • Manage onshore (Senior I’s) and offshore (EXL) personnel and delegate tasks where possible • Prepare daily profit/loss variance analysis reports for CFO review during the close process, ensuring all journal entries have been recorded prior to financials being finalized • Created real-time intercompany comparison reports to circumvent timing delays of pre-existing reports and enable simultaneous comparisons across multiple agencies and networks • Automated the payroll journal entry process across multiple service centers which standardized how they are reported and reduced the hours needed for preparation • Standardized the format of agency information requests to facilitate more accurate responses
• Managed end of period processes for 26 business units including journal entries, revenue recording, and accruals / deferrals for all Advertising revenue (+/- $25 million per fiscal period) • Worked closely with CFOs and other finance teams to research variances or provide detail as needed related to revenue reporting • Prepared various monthly and quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations • Created templates and updated processes via Excel and Power Query that increased revenue recording efficiency and reduced the need for manual data manipulation • Developed SOPs for onshore and offshore teams for monthly, weekly, and day-to-day procedures • Assisted with implementation and training of a new advertising system for all business units (AdPoint)
• Created standardized processes to centralize the accounting functions for company-wide Advertising revenue • Streamlined the Advertising general ledger and reduced its size by approximately 30,000 lines, leading to increased system performance • Consolidated end of period journal entries for 28 business units, reducing the number of entries from 168 to 6 • Closely involved in the onboarding process for five newly acquired business units including systems testing, reconciliations of accounts, implementation of the new advertising system, and training of current employees • Developed a standardized process to account for miscellaneous retail sales, reducing the need for additional reconciliations or related top-side journal entries; trained employees from each business unit and coordinated go-live with corporate finance
