How did I end up studying both Marketing and Accounting? For me, it starts with learning to live between two worlds. I was born to Korean parents in Canada and raised in the United States, and that mix shaped how I see everything. Even in school, I loved the clarity of Math, but I spent my free time designing posters for friends and school events. I never fit neatly into one box, and I eventually realized I did not need to. Choosing Marketing and Accounting felt natural. It let me combine structure with creativity and blend the analytical side of who I am with the part of me that enjoys understanding people and telling meaningful stories. As I grew into my interests, that balance became a strength. I helped lead a marketing strategy proposal that won first place for an eVTOL industry leader. I worked with a food and beverage client whose pitch later received offers from all investors on Shark Tank. And during my first tax season, I filed more than 100 returns, gaining hands-on experience that taught me both technical accuracy and the value of earning someone’s trust. Throughout everything, I try to stay grounded in authenticity, curiosity, and a willingness to keep learning. If my journey resonates with you, I would love to connect.
