Worked alongside 40 other transitioning Special Operations service members during this three-month, 120-hour executive-style education. Phase 1: The process started with learning my strengths through the Gallup Strength Assessment – Achiever, Focus, Restorative, Positivity, and Discipline – to help develop my “why” – I focus on people to tackle challenges together. Phase 2: Networking through “cups of coffee” to learn more about different industries and roles. The course instructed on building proper resumes, utilization of this platform, and interview preparation. Phase 3: Continue to have “cups of coffee” to learn, meet with companies, finalize my transition strategy, and graduate into my post military life. The end state: Know my why and use it to find meaningful work that allows me to find a career with opportunity to grow AND be a present father/husband.
