I am a communications specialist with over 12 years of professional experience, including in the nature conservation field. With a profound passion for the environment and a proven track record in strategic communications, I am keen to showcase best practices in the circular economy to inspire others to adopt sustainable business models. Currently, I hold the position of Communications Lead at the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA). In this role, I coordinate and implement communication actions for specific projects within the Sustainable Inclusive Business (SIB-K) Program, which was established under the successful cooperation between KEPSA and the Embassy of the Netherlands in Kenya. I am well-versed in leveraging various communication channels to disseminate information and build strong stakeholder relationships. I have been profoundly instrumental in developing and implementing the Kenya Plastics Pact. This ambitious, collaborative initiative brings stakeholders across the whole plastics value chain to transform the current linear plastics system into a circular economy for plastics. It is the 2nd of its kind in Africa after the South African Plastics Pact. I am an alumnus of Aarhus University in Denmark, where I attained an Advanced Fellowship in Environmental Governance at the Local Level, the United States International University Africa, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, and recently completed a High-Performance Program in Communication for Development, focusing on climate change. I am also undertaking an Entrepreneurship and Communications Program at the European Business Institute of Luxembourg.
