I am a two-time graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a Master's degree in City and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy and Environmental Studies. Between my degrees, I worked for more than three years at World Resources Institute, where I helped local governments advance their clean energy and clean transportation goals. Working closely with local governments inspired me to return to graduate school for city planning, where I have focused largely on transportation systems. As a graduate student, I authored a Master's Project titled "Road ownership and safety outcomes in North Carolina", which won an award for "Best Master's Project" based on votes from planners across North Carolina. I am also the recipient of the Roy D. Williams Memorial Scholarship from the NC Chapter of the Institute of Transportation Engineers. Furthermore, I served as an intern in the City of Philadelphia's Office of Multimodal Planning, a Teaching Assistant for three semesters, and as a Fellowship Associate with the Clean Energy Leadership Institute. Through these experiences and my coursework, I have refined soft skills such as public speaking and community engagement techniques, along with hard skills such as GIS, Adobe software, and transportation modeling.
