As a Sales Manager at Nexans Norway I get to work with interesting people from all over the world. The sales position is a truly diverse and interesting job where I get to manage a cross functional team which includes almost all departments in Nexans and require a close cooperation with our top management. As a worldwide leader in the cable industry, our customers are spread throughout the globe while my experience is mostly related to China and Europe. My career with Nexans begun in 2005 at the group’s largest manufacturing site. Since then, I have earned an MBA in addition to studies in economics, strategy, HR and innovation which I get to implement in my daily work.
During my time at the Nexans group largest manufacturing facility I got to work with various tasks and became a qualified operator at a number of the plants machines. I was responsible for training a number of persons by hands-on training and formally confirm their knowledge. The machine teams typically consist of five to seven person and I was asked to be one of the team leaders at the complicated vertical lay up machine.
Installing network and fibre cables in office buildings in and around Gothenburg. High street department store NK Göteborg owner Hufvudstaden was a major customer.
The Swedish military service had three levels, 7.5, 10 or 15 months where officers where educated at 10 and 15 months. During my 15 months service as quarter master I had the responsibility to lead the service platoon of 21 marine's to provide the marine company with all the required material ranging from food to ammunition.
