I am a creative and flexible tech lead, software developer and researcher with more than 20 years of work experience in diverse scientific, technical, and other fields, with the last 5 strongly focused in the CleanTech space. My expertise includes design and implementation of large high-throughput event driven systems integrating real-time AI (both on the cloud and the edge), real-time trading on the power spot markets, and the design and control of microgrids blending power generation and battery storage. I am experienced at establishing organization-wide best engineering practices and building engineering and research teams from scratch. Having worked in multiple different international and multicultural environments, I am able to work effectively across disciplinary boundaries and different technical, cultural, and business domains, to absorb, connect and communicate knowledge from all these varied points of view. The CleanTech space has proven a particularly fruitful field to bring together these threads of experience and enthusiasm. My unique background, from research into the physics of complex systems to the software engineering of extremely high-throughput event-driven systems with integrated real-time AI, means I am uniquely positioned to be able to offer insight, leadership, and coordination across the whole range of scientific and engineering challenges.
