One of my favourite childhood memories was sitting around the table with my family having great food and great conversations. As I have matured I have realized the importance of these conversations. Most of my worldviews and ideologies were formed around the dinner table. I learned how to communicate my thoughts and opinions. I got wise advice and I gave good counsel. I learned a lot about leadership from the way my parents conducted themselves and led our conversations. These conversations have taught me to take the time to speak with people. Understanding their need helps me give them a solution that works and is best for them. These conversations have also helped me learn how to articulate myself and clearly communicate my message which has made me more effective, in both sales and teaching roles. These days I sit around many different tables enjoying many different types of food and conversation but no food compares to Mom’s Lasagna and no conversations are better than the ones we have with those we love.
In my role as a Life, Accident & Sickness Agent I have the privilege of walking alongside people to help them reach their goals and steward their resources well. The primary way I do this is by ensuring they have proper coverage in case they die too soon, live too long, or become ill. I also have the opportunity to help people use different financial tools such as a TFSA, first-time home buyers, RESP, RRSP, and RRIF to achieve their financial goals.
In my previous role, I had the opportunity to manage client relationships. Help generate clientele through different marketing strategies, including, door knocking, mailers, and booths at events. We pride ourselves on the quality of our product and our customer service.
I had the joy of serving the youth and their families through preparing large teaching times, planning games, and building strong relationships with both them and their families. My responsibilities also included running five weeks of summer camp for children and youth in a low-income neighborhood.
