Developing a novel drug - resistant profiling assay using targeted NGS platform
Specialized in high-throughput sequencing technologies, including Illumina, PacBio, and Oxford Nanopore platforms, tackling broad range of genomic applications—from whole genome sequencing and PCR-based assay development to fit unique exploratory projects.
Developed and optimized solid media assay methods for quantifying phage-antibiotic interactions, resulting in peer-reviewed publication. Participated in bacteriophage endotoxin removal and purification workflows to support safe therapeutic application. Work integrated molecular techniques with microbiological modeling to inform future therapeutic strategies targeting resistant pathogens. Contributed to translational microbiology research focused on bacteriophage therapy and antibiotic resistance. Led and supported projects involving the co-evolution of clinical Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates with lytic phages to broaden host range and enhance antimicrobial efficacy. Investigated re-sensitization of multidrug-resistant bacterial strains to antibiotics following phage infection, with an emphasis on phage-antibiotic synergy.
