My name is Joey McKenna and I am an Olympic Hopeful and US National Team Member in Men’s Freestyle Wrestling. I attended Stanford University and The Ohio State University graduating in the spring of 2019 with a degree in Business Administration. Since then, I live in Philadelphia training with the Pennsylvania Regional Training Center alongside the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University wrestling programs to achieve my goals of becoming a world and Olympic Champion. I have professional aspirations outside the sport of wrestling and am particularly interested in leadership, management, lean six sigma, and construction. I currently volunteer with Beat the Streets Philadelphia, a wrestling based youth non-profit that’s mission is “to positively alter life’s trajectory.”
■ Worked alongside a team of dedicated risk and insurance professionals, learning all aspects of the insurance brokerage industry with a concentration in business development ■ In-depth overview of surety and the issuance of bonds; initial policy checking; analyzed and created spreadsheets for Wrap-Up Insurance (CCIP & OCIP); overview of PPP and captives; EMR preparation for client renewals; ■ Worked with Loss Control Consultants and visited client sites in various stages of construction; used SalesForce to track and update sale's pipeline data for all Partners
■ Designed and led practices for middle school and high school students attending Cardinal Wrestling intensive camps, demonstrating fundamental and advanced wrestling techniques ■ Promoted residential environment focused on intellectual life, as well as, athletics; created opportunities for students to explore and clarify their academic and athletic interests, values, and attitudes
■ Analyzed architectural drawings and identified trade packages of specific work that specialty contractors can bid ■ Created detailed scope sheets that included products needed for each package ■ Worked with Estimating team to create bids for numerous opportunities on new buildings such as hospitals, schools and residential buildings to renovation of existing structures for hospitals, hotels and piers on the water
