Responsible for the major tunnel projects within Urban Tractebel. Coordination of different disciplines & teams both inside and outside Tractebel. Currently upsizing including larger bridge projects where coordination and collaboration between different teams is necessary, like project management for Bissegem and Wevelgem (bow-)bridge projects. Knowledge management and growth as focus for increased services towards our clients. Currently also active as project director for 2nd Tijsmanstunnel and Oosterweel VTTI project.
Advising the further development of BIM within Tractebel. Actively promoting and managing BIM implementation in tunnel and bridge projects. Active member on several advisory committees and BIM task forces for EFCA, ORI, WTCB, etc. Collaboration on several publications like the EFCA booklet on ISO19650 and the Belgian BIM Protocol (representing ORI).
Responsible for the competence center Structures (consists of a team of around 85 professionals specialized in Civil & Structural Engineering). The team was part of the geographical entity of Belgium and associated countries like India, Romania, Italy, Poland and more. Services included feasibility studies, conceptual design, basic design, detailed design, site supervision or management, reinforcement or repair of existing structures, owners engineering and client representation depending on the needs of the project. Knowledge Management and collaboration enhanced within the different teams.
