Advisory - Operations Transformation
Program Management Lead on 10MM+ Program (Large AU Bank) - Primary liaison between multiple specialist delivery streams; providing general Consulting skillset support for senior internal and client stakeholders. - Lead program management activities to deliver within timeline and budget (including weekly sponsor status reporting) - Managed synthesis of complex Enterprise Agreement interpretations into simpler messaging for deliverables, Board packs and workshops for Executives; enabling endorsement of key decisions. - Commercial management - including proposal development, subsequent Statements of Work / Change Requests, managing program hygiene, and financials tracking & reporting. Commercial Manager for a 10MM+ program (AU Retail Bank) - Managed the model and resourcing profile to price the program and forecast margin - Managed development of commercial & operational model - tracking forecast v actuals resource allocation, weekly cost burn rate, file completions to meet committed timelines. - Developed options paper to enable sponsors to make an informed decision on program steer; resulting in a more cost-effective and risk-based approach. - Routinely reported and translated operational and commercial impacts to the internal Leadership team; providing confidence in overall delivery status and commercial position.
Financial Services Consulting | Digital Operations & Automation Target State Business Process Design for post-acquisition claims operations (AU Life Insurer) Result: Harmonisation of three disparate business stream operations and systems into a single process - Lead client workshops to create and present current state observations and improvement opportunities - Worked with senior client stakeholders, software vendors, and acquired business SMEs to co-create target state definition of claim operations; successfully agreeing on a single view to harmonise disparate systems and existing processes - Delivered a high-level cost-benefit analysis for leadership team to make a strategic decision on their to-be process technology platform Commercial (financial) modelling and operational reporting on a $20MM+ project (AU Life Insurer): Result: Built a robust commercial model to handle complex commercial arrangement that prevented $1MM in billing errs - Owned the commercial management on one of the most complex programs, accountable to deliver quant-driven insights to the internal leadership team regarding current commercial position and pre-empting any risks / issues in advance from forecasts - Worked directly with internal leadership team to present commercials updates on a weekly basis and provide adhoc support requested in daily meetings - Built and maintained a complex commercial model that tracks actuals and forecasts costs / revenue streams and a benefit sharing mechanism until end of program (11+ months) - Implemented an additional digital workflow to uplift the previous program billing capabilities and ensure accurate billing based on work completed - Proactive resource management to ensure program remains within budget and costs incurred at a sustainable rate - Active contribution to Commercials section of the Statement of Work between the client and PwC leadership - Delivered a real-time dashboard shared with the client senior stakeholders
Strategy & Architecture (NZ Crown Entity) Result: Target State IT Support Operating Model Design/ Financial Modelling to enable 5.5+ FTE client staff to focus on internal strategic initiatives - Engaged in client workshops to identify current state pain points of the IT support service model - Defined the target state process for IT Support Operating Model (ITIL v4) to enable outsourcing of incident and problem management; highlighting roles & responsibilities, handover interaction points, and SLA's between client and the vendor - Created a financial model to quantify the cost / time savings of as-is and to-be IT Support function; cost-benefit analysis resulting in realignment of 5.5+ FTE client staff to focus on internal strategic initiatives - Reviewed the Master Service Agreement between client and software vendor Intelligent Automation (NZ Tertiary Institute) Result: Robotic Process Automation (UiPath) bot development savings 5K+ work hours - Developed a bot to update over 150K+ items based on the HR function business rules; delivering immediate benefits from day 1 - Client satisfaction led to additional bot development work being requested
