My professional career spanning decades has been devoted to asset management, institutional research, investment banking and the securities brokerage business. As a Managing Director and Senior Institutional Analyst in the research departments of Hambrecht & Quist and JP Morgan Chase & Co. I was responsible for researching, preparing and marketing 46 public offerings, including 31 initial public offerings, raising a total of $3.7 billion dollars. Since 2002 I have been the Managing Director of Arsenio Capital Management, a Family Office and California Registered Investment Advisor, as well as providing residential construction project management services.

Managed the entire construction process; architect, engineers, permitting, sub-contractors and trades. Built 6000 sq ft rural residence largely off the grid following the devastating Oct 2017 Sonoma County wildfire. Renovated two floors of a 4 story residence in Cow Hollow, San Francisco.
Continued the Applied Technologies research practice following the sale of Hambrecht & Quist, Inc. to the Chase Manhattan Bank.
Established the Applied Technologies research practice to support emerging technology companies in atypical categories including new energy (solar, fuel cells, distributed generation high capacity energy storage devices), digital imaging including infrared imaging, digital sound editing, digital printing systems, digital watermarking, bar coding, RF digital data collection, digital finger print identification, advanced digital point of sale and personnel management systems, onscreen TV guide, and haptic technology. Established the telecommunications services practice at H&Q. Sponsored emerging telecom services including advanced international satellite voice and data communications, and high speed fiber optic communications equipment (US) and services (Europe). Initially acted as H&Q’s Senior Special Situations Analyst covering consumer products & services. Responsibilities included extensive interaction with current and prospective investment banking clients, and institutional buy-side analysts and portfolio managers. Direct responsibility for preparing and delivering board room presentations to potential IPO candidates in my coverage area and all related IPO marketing material for our sales force. Supported two dedicated teams in the investment banking and trading departments and supervised two junior analysts and my administrative staff.
