About

This platform is where I share in-depth perspectives on science, entrepreneurship, academic communication, mentoring, leadership, fitness, parenting, and living a meaningful life. My journey has been defined by curiosity, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence, rather than following a single path, I’ve embraced exploration across disciplines, industries, and personal challenges. My views are my own and they may change as I educate myself and learn from others. Scientific contributions As a scientist, I have: ✔ Discovered key genetic variants that confer extreme protection against Alzheimer’s disease, including APOE Christchurch and Reelin COLBOS. ✔ Identified the role of Runx1 in aberrant angiogenesis and fibrosis, uncovering potential therapeutic targets. ✔ Defined how Notch signaling influences susceptibility to stroke, contributing to our understanding of vascular biology and disease risk. ✔ Co-Inventor of five issued patents and counting! Entrepreneurship & innovation I co-founded: ✔ ScienceBank, a platform revolutionizing how researchers disseminate their work and publish ✔ Epoch Biotech, a company developing therapeutics for Alzheimer's disease inspired by naturally occurring cases of disease resistance. ✔ X1 Biotech, a company developing therapeutics for CADASIL and other vascular and fibrotic conditions, targeting RUNX1, a transcription factor. AI ✔ Contributor to Grant Review AI a.k.a Dr. GRAI ✔ Co-Developer of RISE Algorithm, a patented technology for optimal distribution of digital content. Finance & strategic growth ✔ I advise individuals on strategic financial independence, helping them achieve long-term security through smart investment and decision-making. Fitness & longevity ✔ At 50, I reached the best shape of my life, proving that peak fitness and performance have no age limit. Personal ✔ Married for 24+ years with two amazing sons. Helping you achieve your goals If you have a goal that seems impossible, let’s have a conversation. If you’ve read this far, you clearly have the drive. I write about health and fitness based on both personal experience and my training as a physician (M.D.). I’m not board-certified in the United States and do not provide medical advice. Please consult your doctor before acting on any health information you see online. 🔒 Communication Notice I do not initiate private messages to followers outside of LinkedIn messaging or my official Harvard email address. I never use personal email, phone calls, or third-party platforms for communication. None of my posts are sponsored unless it says so.
