My name is Jose Timana. I received an undergraduate degree in Geology and Geotechnical engineering from Piura National University in 2006. I continued my studies at San Marcos National University. Receiving a Masters of Science degree in Geotechnics in 2018. I am currently studying for a MBA from San Agustin National University. I will complete the program in December 2021. I have more than 13 years of experience working with Peruvian mining and construction companies on geotechnical and geomechanical projects. I have 1 year experience in Geotechnical consulting for clients such as Geomecanica Latina, Tierra Group International, Piassa Consulting, as well as for open pit mines including Minera Antapaccay, and Minera Aruntani, and underground examples including Hochschild Mining and Caraveli Mining. . • I have managed and participated in Geological, Hydrogeological and Geotechnical studies through the Conceptual, Pre-Feasibility, Feasibility and Definitive stages • Projects include tailings dams, water retention, tunnels, pit wall stability. • Chief Geotechnical Engineer for the Aruntani Group • Geotechnical and Geological Engineer for Glencore’s Anatapaccay Mine. • Experience in the Petrolem Sector working for China National Petroleum Corporation and PeruPetro In the role of Petroleum Geologist. • Knowledge of slope stability analysis, numerical analysis in kinematic models, and 3D block modeling. I am proficient with industry standard software including MineSight, Flac, RS2, Dips, Swede, Rocplane, Roctopple, Rocfall (Rocscience). • Experienced in predictive and preventative geotechnical monitoring using InSAR robotic stations and with Ground Probe IDS synthetic and real aperture radars. • Experience using Q system and RMR for geomechanical classification in local and global modeling. Provided technical and consulting support for soil mechanics studies in the construction of the foundation for a plant for Rinti SAC. Worked in Geological and Geotechnical Supervision, soils mechanics and Interpretation analysis granulometrics soils. (March 2021). Supporting the geotechnical supervision Yura Cement Company, in the Sabancaya Waste (August 2021). I worked in the analysis Structural and geological San Antonio and Coca Cola I and II Projects, Mine del Valle Spa Coquimbo - Chile (Oct 2021). Currently Responsible for geotechnical and geomechanical studies in Open Pit and Underground SLS-SLS, Romina Project Volcan S.A (December 2021).
Supervision of the Project Trasandino, worked in Geological and Geotechnical Supervision from 25-kilometer trans-Andean crossing that crosses the Western Coordillera, this was by DOHWA from South Korea, under my direction as Engineer Senior Geotechnician.
