Development of polymeric membrane innovations. From lab scale proof of concepts to our full production spinning line by utilizing fundamental physical phenomena and polymer properties on a large scale.
Responsible for the development of new membrane materials, membranes and their processes and applications. Membrane fouling and cleaning, development of new cleaning agents/protocols for membranes. Beer filtration, effect of beer constituents and brewing conditions on the filterability of beer. Development of tight ultra-filtration and nano-filtration membranes. Membrane aging and life-time assessment.
I combined my work at the X-Flow R&D-department with a PhD study at the University of Twente. In a close collaboration between Pentair X-Flow and the Membrane Technology Group, I was working on the development of new polymeric nanofiltration membranes based on Layer-by-Layer deposition of polyelectrolytes.
