Joris van Dongen joined TCS in October 2021 to head the Business Consulting practice for Financial Services in North West & Southern Europe. Since October 2025 he leads the UK, EMEA and Asia Pacific region. Before TCS he headed Capgemini’s Financial Services Market Unit for the Netherlands and Belgium as CEO from March 2018 after having managed Cognizant’s Banking & Financial Services Consulting unit in the Benelux for three years. Before joining Cognizant, he has been a Managing Director in Accenture’s Financial Services team in the Netherlands, where he worked for more than twenty years. He has worked in Management Consulting and IT Integration in Financial Services for over 30 years and has extensive industry knowledge spanning banking, insurance, pensions, and capital markets. Joris began his career working at a pharmaceutical company in Barcelona, moving to L’Oréal in the Netherlands, before joining Accenture in 1995. Since then he has focused on retail banking & private banking and, specifically, banking transformation programs. He made partner in Accenture in a fast track and has overseen the P&L for the Dutch team and responsibility for the Dutch Financial Services offerings. In an industry driven by technology and economics, Joris remains focused on people, orchestrating all of his teaming skill sets to deliver results for his clients. He has personally focused on delivering complex consulting assignments, like: bringing a new bank back to life, completing the post-merger integration of two banks, defining the digital strategy for a lease company and defining the digital ambition with the board of directors of one of the Dutch clearing houses. Joris studied for an MSc in Business Administration at the Netherlands School of Business, Nyenrode. He works across Europe and speaks French, German, Spanish, English and Dutch. Away from work he enjoys spending time with his wife, three daughters and son, playing field hockey, snowboarding, gardening, a good glass of wine, running and keeping fit.
