As a *Data Consultant* I love to bridge business and IT, coordinating various kinds of data-related projects: build data products, improve/migrate data platforms, design governance processes, set up a data product approach... From A to Z, I grill stakeholders to align them and co-design the right solution, and then co-ordinate the implementation, helping the team(s) set priorities and make decisions. As a *Management Consultant* my experience spans topics like Digital, Operational Excellence, User Experience, Change management. I love combining the "hard" analytical approach with the "soft" human and relational aspect, as well as coaching (and being coached!) My *PhD* concerned developing and implementing innovative computer methods for data analysis in biomedical research. However, I have a broad interest and experience: started out as a theoretical physicist, turned bio-informatician, took various extra courses at uni, have held various leadership positions at various organizations, and spend a lot of free time learning new things (Engineering, Psychology, Card tricks, ...). When not learning/working, I like to be active/ sportive or play strategic boardgames.

After working in the academic research world as well as the corporate management consulting world, I'm taking a break to think about how to combine the best of both while staying true to my passions. I figured I'd ride some waves and enjoy some sun while I'm at it!

Developed algorithms and workflows for data analysis in omics research. Output: 6 papers (top 8%), 1 web tool, 2 software packages, 2 posters & 4 oral presentations. International: summer school (Spain), ASMS conference (USA). Awards: FWO research stay (USA); Conference stipend (ASMS); Conference best poster (BePA).
