Lead the GL and AP Teams with 2 dozen combined direct and indirect reports, and responsible for the Month End, YE Close process, and strategic initiatives. Key contributor in the implementation and migration to NetSuite (“NS”) from MS Great Plains. Worked closely with NS consultants on customization, UAT and training for the greater team in efforts to meet the tight go-live deadline. Streamlined and reduced the close timeline by automating manual processes and eliminating unnecessary efforts by leveraging AI or other technology where deem necessary. Put together policies and processes and procedures that were either lacking or non-existent. Support annual audits and compliance including preparation of technical memos related to ASC 842 and other applicable accounting guidance.
Managed the Accounting Team, with oversight of the Month End Close process, the annual audit, cash management, Accounts Payable, Commission, Payroll Review. Led the international transfer pricing implementation, monthly sales tax, assessment of nexus exposure and VDA elections, continued improvements through implementation of policies and procedures and staff development. Tackled new accounting treatment (i.e. ASC 606, ASC 340-40, ASC 842, ASC 470) through technical research and memo write-ups.
