I’m a recent M.Eng. Cyber Security and B.S. Computer Engineering Graduate from Iowa State University with a strong foundation and focus on embedded systems and embedded software development. I specialize in embedded C++ and have hands-on experience with real-time operating systems (specifically FreeRTOS), as well as a deep understanding of hardware-software integration at the register level. During my Co-op at BAE Systems, I worked on embedded C++ projects that honed my skills in Embedded C++, memory management, and performance optimization on resource constrained devices. As a teaching assistant for an embedded systems course, I helped students master concepts like interrupt handling, UART configuration, and register configuration. I'm passionate about embedded systems and I love embedded C++, linker errors be damned. I'm excited to start my career in Computer Engineering at Boeing.
Taught students how to configure registers in the TIVA TM4C123GH6PM to enable and interface with external sensors connected to the GPIO ports. Enabled all students in lab sections to control commercial Roomba with microcontroller to remotely navigate obstacle course and get within 50 centimeters of the goal. Configured TIVA microcontroller to control the motor sensors of a commercial Roomba.
Implemented software changes to allow GPS receiver to acquire new signals Drafted, prototyped, and implemented software changes to process 4 new signals into order of precedence algorithm Verified proper order of precedence by testing on the physical receiver
