As a third-year student at James Madison University, I am pursuing a B.A. in Media Arts and Design with a concentration in Creative Advertising. I'm passionate about the power of storytelling and creative problem-solving, and I’m excited to explore how these elements come together in the advertising world. Through my coursework and projects, I am developing skills in content creation, strategic communication, and digital media, with a focus on crafting impactful campaigns that resonate with audiences. I thrive in collaborative environments and am always eager to learn and grow by applying my academic knowledge to real-world challenges.
During my internship at the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber, I engaged with chamber members and contributed to the organization’s social media presence. My responsibilities included creating compelling content and graphics tailored to the interests of our members, enhancing community engagement. I developed skills in scheduling posts and managing a content calendar to ensure timely and relevant communications. This experience not only sharpened my creative abilities but also taught me the importance of strategic planning in marketing. I actively contributed ideas for campaigns that resonated with our audience, fostering a strong connection between the chamber and its members.
As a Team Shift Lead at Dairy Corner, I was responsible for overseeing daily operations during my shifts. My key responsibilities included maintaining cleanliness and functionality of machines, changing out ice cream mix, and troubleshooting any POS system issues. I served as the primary point of contact for team members when challenges arose. This role significantly honed my problem-solving skills and ability to remain composed under pressure, while also fostering a collaborative team environment.
