Be it a broken wheel or a fractured friendship, there exist the majical ways of mathematics and language. These intellectual innovations, these tools, they somehow empower us to manifest a more elegant design. The reality is, the modern day Vitruvian Man holds an iPhone. That device outsources his thoughts, ideas, and empowers him with global telepathy, and if you own a Tesla, telekinesis. In engineering school I learned to value tools. After engineering school, I grabbed a few of those tools and ran off to Vermont to figure out how they worked. A hammer, a shovel, a bottle of Bulleit. I avidly nurtured a healthy sense of imagination. I grew a helluva beard. And then one day, I started imagining tools. ... My name is Jordan, and I like to fix things. Make it work.
