At Monstercat, I was responsible for: -Initializing and executing People & Culture initiatives and programs from recruitment, growth, training & development, employee experience, and administration -Project manage HR processes such as new employee onboarding and offboarding -Administering staff benefits across the US and Canada -Being the first point of contact for HR-related questions -Assisting people managers with the preparation of the performance review process as well as initiatiating PIPs -Supporting the full-cycle recruitment process for our internship program including partnering with hiring managers and colleges, screening applicants, conducting interviews, assessing candidates, and initiating offers -Supporting managers with the performance management and compensation processes -Benchmarking jobs against survey data, internal equity, other market data to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position -Being a culture ambassador at Monstercat, from planning and organizing in-person and virtual events to ensuring that all staff have the support and resources needed to be happy in their roles
My role in Tetra Tech's ICE division involved delivering HR support and solutions to over 300 employees across 4 Canadian offices. Some of my duties included: -Full-cycle recruitment for technical and support positions -Provided analysis of compensation data and made change recommendations -Investigated employee relations complaints -Completed HRIS audits -Coordinated training sessions and seminars -Negotiated salaries and issuing offer letters -Oriented and onboarding new hires/rehires/transfers, -Offboarded employees (performing exit interviews, terminating employees) -Supported our leaders to make sure best HR practices are upheld, -Executied employee engagement programs (e.g. refer-a-friend, employee experience, anniversary awards). -Acted as the Health and Safety Representative in our office which involved planning and implementing actions discussed during Joint OHS meetings.
After working as a Recruitment Associate, I was transferred to the Hiring Associate role, working directly in the hospital. Within this position, my duties included creating and processing HR transactions (creating job requisitions, employee status changes, leaves of absence, and terminations). Additionally, I arranged job interviews and assisted unit managers with interview guides and reference materials. Lastly, this role encompassed troubleshooting employee record queries and generating routing hiring reports.
After 3 months of working as an Assistant, I was promoted to Recruitment Associate. I worked directly with 25 hiring managers from hospitals and clinics across VCH. I supported their hiring needs with regards to internal applicants. This includes posting their vacancies on our internal job board, pre-screening candidates, and completing hires. Additionally, following 4 different collective agreements, I calculate both internal and external candidates' wages on promotions and demotions, complete their transfers, setup their onboarding, and create and send off their offer letters. I am the first point of contact with the department managers, and with new hires to answer their questions and offer my assistance.
Working with a large multidisciplinary team including Recruitment Advisors, Marketing Researchers, and Compensation and Classification advisors, my responsibilities here include: -Conducting reference checks for clinical and non-clinical staff in health care facilities from Richmond to Bella Coola. -Setting up applicants with online qualifying testing including educating them, verifying results, and communicating with hiring managers -Preparing for local and out-of-province job fairs (shipping, receiving, and communicating with contacts) -Answering questions from applicants and potential applicants regarding job descriptions, benefits, pensions, and the organization as a whole -Creating applicant successful letters using mail merge -Preparing new hire and re-hire packages HRIS Software abilities: iCIMS, PeopleSoft, IBM Infinity 2, BackCheck References
