In my professional career as an architect and urbanist I have gained a lot of experience while working at well respected offices like 51N4E, Wiel Arets Architects and Studioninedots. Having won several architectural and urban competitions, working on anything from big complex urban developments to small scale detailed projects like interior remodelling, from the first sketches until execution. After 14 years of working for several offices the time was right to realise an initiative with values which for a long time only existed in our minds. This resulted in the embodiment of this collective in march 2018 named Paradijs.
Paradijs is a small conceptual driven collective with strong cultural, social and contextual drivers. Our interests are to initiate and stimulate engagements with the aim to positively contribute to a durable long-lasting society. We are focussing mainly on urban planning, architecture and interior design with the ambition to explore other opportunities.
Teaching to young school kids 10 to 12 years old, an introduction in architecture and urbanism. The course is 4 lessons "what is architecture and urbanism" , Discovering it in the neighbourhood, a day of an architect, design your dream house.

During the time at WAA I grew from an architect to the position of a senior architect. Gained a lot experience in; all design- and execution-phases, different scale and complexity of projects, project management, led project team through the complete design, tender and construction process until realisation. Keeping intense contact with the client, local authorities, specialist consultants, and planners in all different phases. Next to my architectural work I was also responsible for the IT of the whole company. List of projects I have contributed to; Valkenburgerstraat - residential, retail and interior penthouse. I worked as an architect in the first one and half year mainly on the first phases of the design process: sketch-, preliminary-, final design phase on many different projects. I learned a lot and this led to a more responsible position in the design team, working on competitions, project definition and feasibility studies.
