A Senior Quantity Surveyor, experienced main contractor and client facing surveyor, with a broad industry experience most recently working on hyper scale data centre’s in Europe. Degree qualified with 15 years continuous experience working within highly commercially focused main contractors and developers throughout Scotland and Europe. I am able to provide a wide range of commercial management and quantity surveying functions, giving a commercially focused approach to project surveying and contract administration. I am able to provide contractual advice with knowledge and experience of various suites of contracts as well as being experienced in estimating and pre and post contract management.

Provided commercial management and traditional quantity surveying services to contractors, clients and utility companies. Worked on secondment with Mace International Technology, working as an integrated Commercial Manger on the ODN Data Centre campus, Odense, Denmark. Previous roles including carrying out contractor focused traditional billing services, methodically reviewing drawings and specifications to complete detailed bills of quantities and highlight areas of opportunity for contractors. Further secondments included providing commercial support to a team of project engineers within SP Energy Networks (Iberdrola). Undertaking all aspects of the contract administration for competitively tendered and framework contracts, also advise on procurement, carry out sub-contractor negotiations and respond to contractual claims while defending the clients position. At other times I have worked with contractors providing surveying services for individual projects, from initial take offs and site measurements, issuing valuations and variation claims while maximising project contribution.
