I help senior leaders reach their audience. 20+ diplomatic engagements across 17+ countries, 10 Secretary of State-level communications moments, $600M in commitments mobilized, 100+ media placements across CNN, NPR, Bloomberg, and the New York Times, and 2M+ views on a single event. Immeasurable relationships leveraged. All in two years. With 15+ years at the U.S. Department of State, that meant standing in the back of a room while the Secretary of State made a case that drew a million viewers and launched a global movement. It meant being nine time zones away, chats zinging, piecing together ten back-to-back interviews when our headline speaker's schedule collapsed before showtime. It meant walking into a job where there was no communications infrastructure, no media record, no digital channel — and building something that eventually had the Secretary of State championing it at COP28, the UN General Assembly, the G7, World Economic Forum, and the UN Security Council. That's the same thing every corporate communications leader is hired to do — take something complex, make it land, and make it matter to the right people at the right moment. Influence outcomes. I've coordinated messaging across Fortune 500 companies, NGOs, research institutions, and foreign governments simultaneously. I've prepped executives for rooms where every word is on the record and nothing can go sideways. I'm looking for senior communications roles where the work is global, complex, impactful, and the story matters. If that's what you're building — let's talk.
Transformed the Office of Global Food Security from a blank slate into a recognized voice across State, the interagency, and global partners—driving a movement that continues to shape food security today. My experience with the Department has led to several fulfilling milestones and moments. The current moment; I am embracing an AI-Forward/AI-Enhanced mindset that is looking to integrate AI strategy, tools, and methods into strategic communications workflows. I am quite proud to have collaborated with many external stakeholders to advance shared interests, including an event organized on the margins of the UN General Assembly featuring the Secretary of State that garnered 1M views on Facebook. A highlight of my career has been spearheading hundreds of media engagements resulting in favorable news coverage: New York Times, Food Talk, Pan African Agriculture, Forbes, Devex, Axios, Scientific American, FT, BBC, France24, NPR; and in collaboration with global teams in Japan, Italy, France, Australia, Denmark, the UK, Pacific Islands, Central America, Middle East, and throughout Africa.
Drove global media engagement and strategic communications strategy, positioning the Agency as a trusted voice on U.S. foreign assistance during high-profile development, humanitarian, and crisis response efforts. Built and maintained strong relationships with top-tier media outlets, delivering timely, accurate, and compelling messaging that showcased U.S. leadership on issues including global health, democracy and governance, food security, and climate resilience. Key achievements: Coordinated press operations for Administrator travel across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, elevating USAID’s visibility in priority regions. Drafted press guidance, talking points, and briefing materials for senior officials to ensure message discipline across the interagency. Led rapid-response communications during humanitarian crises and major policy rollouts, balancing speed with accuracy and credibility. Worked closely with the State Department, White House, and interagency partners to align messaging — experience that strengthened my ability to translate complex policy into clear, action-driving narratives and to deliver results under tight deadlines.
From my time in the Massachusetts State Senate, I learned how public service translates into action for the benefit of the community. I led communications efforts that aligned messaging with legislative priorities and constituent needs. Whether navigating debates on the state budget or championing local economic revitalization initiatives, I ensured that the policy positions were communicated clearly, persuasively, and with authenticity.
