Staff Engineer and Architect in petabyte+ data/AI/ML platforms and infrastructure. Expert in 0→1 and 1→N scaling and optimizing compute/data planes and distributed, low-latency systems.
Deployed Adobe’s first scalable GenAI analytics lakehouse for Firefly, engineered to process 100s of millions of user prompts from 10s of millions users and providing petabyte+ optimized data streams for ML, Analytics, and BI teams. Built massive-scale NLP workloads (embeddings, classification, translation) for model inference on billions of records, enabling Product and Engineering orgs (350+ people) and model evaluation/training teams.
Engineered data and compute plane for petabyte+ cloud telemetry ML platform, used daily by Microsoft Cloud and Azure, supporting 100s of millions of connected devices and 99% coverage of world’s 2nd largest computer. Built and deployed new cloud reliability models; used new SLAs to find $120M/yr in blocked compute capacity. Scaled data & analytics best practices for CTO office, reducing ad-hoc RCA latency from weeks to hours.
Led geospatial analytics R&D team; built audience/segmentation features using data from 200M smartphones. Invented scalable traffic simulation covering nationwide (350M) population; designed API and initial marketing. Defined company-wide strategy on data infrastructure and analytics for 10s of millions of US households.
Launched US office of Industrial IoT startup; started and lead team of Data Scientists developing new products. Built partner/customer prototypes using streaming analytics, deep learning, and anomaly detection.
