      AFS Systems is a market leader in the manufacturing and provision of innovative permanent formwork solutions that have facilitated the efficient installation of load-bearing walls in multi-residential and commercial projects throughout Australia, New Zealand, USA, UK and Canada. I was instrumental in the integration of family run business into the CSR portfolio of brands. Responsibilities were extensive, charged with leading a number of workstreams that included transition management, process improvement, product expansion, geographical expansion and team development. Role was expanded from National Sales Manager to General Manager, overseeing 160 employees across a national business incorporating two manufacturing facilities. Highlights • Successfully integrated a family owed business into CSR, introduced succession planning across all management roles, while maintaining customer service and increasing revenue from $24m to $70m over a four-year period. • Championed change within AFS for example introducing a Brisbane & Melbourne sales and distribution site resulting in an increase of 15% of overall revenue. CSR acquired Pilkington Glass Australia & New Zealand in 2007 for $1.1b and rebranded the business Viridian Glass. Two years later I was employed as General Manager, Finance. I was then promoted to Regional Manager responsible for managing the business in QLD, SA & NT. Involved in all aspects of the company’s general management and responsible for the financial integrity of the 11 businesses (6 Manufacturing & 5 Trading). Team of 13 reporting through to the role including IT and HR. During my tenure the business underwent aggressive expansion and achieved record returns. Highlights: • Company Director and manager of corporate governance of eight CSR companies in Asia, including joint venture structures. • Provided the financial and market analysis for the Board capital approval of A$60m Rockwool Insulation plant in Guangzhou. • Negotiation the contract terms and condition of US$5.5m Bradford Insulation supply contract to Reliance Group India. • Provided the financial and market analysis and lead the contract negotiation to lease a State Owned Glasswool Insulation Enterprise in Nanning, China. The 3-year lease achieving 14% EBIT to Sales over the term. Commercially reviewed and negotiated export supply contract valued at $A40 million to John Mansville in the United States. • Project leader on the due diligence and acquisition of 15000 ton Rockwool factory in China, increasing manufacturing capacity and eliminating a competitor. • Established 3 trading/representative offices in Vietnam, Philippines and Shanghai to increase penetration into new growth regions. • Tendered CSR Asia’s transaction banking facilities, including refinancing of two corporate loans, resulting in greater transparency and savings.
