Finance Executive with more than 10 years of experience and a strong track record of delivering results across Finance, Strategy and M&A Multinational and cross functional finance background, from Group FP&A, coordinating operating companies, tax, treasury and BI functions, to leading Commercial Finance within the Italian operating company People manager, overseeing large finance teams, wider virtual teams and establishing cross functional partnerships Extensive Strategy & M&A background, able to lead complex business transformations, design and deliver strategic plans and coordinate the finance team through multi-billion Euro M&A transactions Chartered accountant within the big 4 providing extensive knowledge of IFRS, accounting and governance within complex multinational companies
Reporting to the CFO of Vodafone Italy, managing a multi-location team of 20+ people, heading Finance across multiple commercial and operational departments. Main responsibilities including: • Creation and ongoing governance of Digital Vodafone incorporating all commercial functions and involving more than 500 FTEs, to develop an agile business model, with lean commercial offer and capability development • Head of Finance for Customer Operations, responsible for the financial governance of c.€200M per year of OPEX and 2,000 FTEs, driving efficiency management in particular financial implementation of artificial intelligence and machine learning • Staff functions & HR, delivering opex and capex investment planning to deploy a lean and fit for growth operating structure across all Vodafone Italy • Lead the Finance teams responsible for governance of multiple operational departments including Credit Management, Finance, Property, Legal & External Affairs, Intercompany
• Managed the financial analysis and decision support functions for CBU Finance, leading a team of 12 people, overseeing a perimeter of €3.5bn revenue and €500m of annual customer acquisition value • Built the decision support function for new commercial offers, making finance a core pillar of product and offer design, expanding commercial competences within finance and embedding financial rigour into commercial plans • Re-designed the role of the Analysis team, leveraging the ‘close to the business’ benefits of Decision Support, to enable real time financial performance understanding of commercial actions
