Participates in special projects, deliveries or pick-ups which may include coordination with other WMATA personnel. • Establishes and manages effective overall material control procedures to ensure procurement, proper receipt, storage and disposition of supplies within the WMATA Storerooms. • Implements and Coordinates the RemStar/Maximo Project integration. • Coordinates with integrated applications, including PeopleSoft FSCM applications and Maximo Maintenance Management System. • Manages and coordinates the Data Classification group responsible for item setup in Maximo/Structure, item obsolescing, and item data update, using the IIUR process and Vendor information. • Assists Storeroom Supervisor as needed on training, understanding errors or discrepancies within systems. • Provide leadership and resources for all IPS’s on the 5S Team as a team leader.
• Perform technical mechanics on automobiles. • Perform maintenance and repair on: engines, computerized electronic ignition system transmissions (manual and automatic), fuel/emission system, heating and air conditioning, power steering and suspension components in front, rear or four wheel drive vehicles, and brake system • Perform repair and diagnostics test on electrical systems and electronic devices. • Ability to understand and use schematics, Integrated Diagnostic Software (IDS), Portable Diagnostic Software (PDS), Worldwide Diagnostic Software (WDS), New Generation Star (NGS), New Generation Star + (NGS+), service manuals, and service bulletins with new material. • Complete troubleshooting, diagnostics, inspections, test drives, and confirm root problem(s) on automobiles. • Ability to use shop equipment: brake lathe, battery tester and charger, digital multi-meter, tire mount and balance, road force balancer, and alignment machine • Passed all safety courses related to Service Technician position. • Ability to complete all duties with minimal supervision.
