DIGITAL STEWARDSHIP & INDUSTRY 4.0 Smart Factory Implementation: Directed the launch of a Digital Control Tower, transitioning the site to real-time predictive analytics. Plant Manager – (2014 – Present) Started up and manages plants within Life Sciences Segment - medical analytical instrumentation and blood culture media manufacturing plant in Tuas, Singapore. Plant under management won Manufacturing Excellence and Quality Excellence Awards. Directly manages Production, Continuous Improvements, Quality, Material Planning, with dotted line corporate functional support from Human Resource, Supply Chain, Regulatory, EHS, and Procurement in a matrix organisation. Sustaining engineering management and Core Team Leader (Program Manager) for New Product Development.Program managed new product development and commercialization of fluorescence activated cell analyzer systems (FACS) for cell sorting and analysis for life sciences research. Achieved all product launch on time, met budget plan and cost target. Accomplished design transfer and project management of early access program; awarded BD’s “Transformational Delta Heroes” award Prevented loss of revenue through re-directing project management of high-end custom bio-safety enclosure that supports up to 10 lasers and 6-way sorting. Led BD FACSAriaTM Fusion development core team and strategic partner in the accelerated release and commercialisation of first-to-market fully integrated advanced Cell Sorter and biosafety solution. Effort was developed with KOL. Product is still deemed best in class product in its category. Sustaining Manager, Manufacturer/Project Engineer (2007 – 2011) Served as Operations Lead and managed Operations Integration Team of approximately 35 members to integrate acquired Bio-Imaging Cell Analyzer business Executed product transfer project management plans while overseeing multiple tactical functional activities including R&D, IT/Master Data, Finance, Inventory/Material, Demand/Supply Planning, Service Support, Manufacturing, and Quality; projects enabled delivery of product and services from San Jose and accomplished the operational integration and production ramp that met internal requisite levels within 12 months. Seamless manufacturing knowledge transfer and integration activities into San Jose manufacturing site Served as Project Lead and led multiple concurrent cost reduction/cross-functional team for sheet metal and PCBA category, achieving annualized savings of $665K within 15 months Managed local and overseas contract manufacturers to ensure on-time delivery of quality product; identified, and reduced cost of poor quality.
