About

I am currently an MD/Ph.D student in Dr. Kunal Rai's Genetics and Epigenomics lab in MD Anderson. Our goal is to better understand the epigenomics of cancer with the ultimate hope of developing novel therapeutics. My work is focused on Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Big Data Engineering, which I use to solve bioinformatics problems. Some of my projects have included using Singularity-based containerization to develop pipelines with improved scalability, portability, and flexibility. In July 2021, I co-authored a publication summarizing the current state of machine learning in epigenomics.
