At North Memorial Health Hospital, I predominately work as a decentralized pharmacist in the cardiovascular area, coordinate a cardiology journal club, direct an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) elective rotation in Transitional Care, and direct a required Post-Graduate Year One (PGY-1) Internal Medicine Rotation. For the 2015-2016 residency year, I won an award for preceptor of the year for our residency program. In the past, I have helped to co-author and implement a glucose management protocol for post-op open heart surgery patients and am currently working to improve our transitional care program, particularly on hospital discharge.
