A five month journey towards the world and myself.
Topic: Spotmarket-oriented planning of photovoltaics and battery storage. Question: How much does the merit-order-effect increase until 2030 in Germany and should the planning of photovoltaic (ground mounted & rooftop) and battery storage (feed-in shifting, powerpeakshaving, selfconsumption) be techno-economically adapted to those new circumstances? Description: A fundamental energy-market modell of the day-ahead market of Germany was developed and tested by comparing a scenario for 2022 with actual market results. Then two scenarios for 2026 and 2030 were created assuming a high or moderate expansion of renewable energies. The resulting price-forward-curves in hourly granularity were used to techno-economically analyze a variation of ground-mounted planning parameters and the main battery-storage-applications.
