I now live at the Narara Ecovillage on the Central Coast, NSW, where I continue to be Consulting Rabbi for various congregations as well as teaching a Progressive Jewish Online Introduction to Judaism course. I spent 35 years in the congregational rabbinate in Melbourne and London, and before that trained as a Production Engineer and worked in London and Wales before commencing the five year rabbinic training course at the Leo Baeck College in London. Some years ago I received a Diploma in Social Change and Sustainability, where I focussed on Intentional Communities.
I have spent 35 years working as a Rabbi in congregational settings, as well as working with state and national groups such as The Australian Religious Response to Climate Change and the Jewish Christian Muslim Association of Australia. I have overseen the editing of 3 new prayer books for our region. I have written several books. I have now settled at the Narara Ecovillage in Central Coast NSW to concentrate on both environment and being part of a demonstration environmental caring community.
