In my role as a Prayer Line Associate at the Billy Graham Association, I honed my communication and counseling skills by analyzing and appropriately responding to the emotional and spiritual needs of callers. These situations ranged from loneliness and hopelessness to suicide and abuse. This role required the ability to handle highly difficult and emotional situations with wisdom, integrity, and empathy. These experiences have prepared me to establish client relationships, build trust, and recognize nonverbal messages.
My experience as a Ministry Coordinator at Hickory Bible Church has provided me with valuable coordination, leadership, and organizational skills. I have successfully coordinated events, meetings, and interviews, and have implemented new workflows to enhance efficiency. I have also gained experience in website and app development/maintenance, which demonstrates my technical aptitude.
My time as a Front and Back of House Team Member at Chick-fil-A instilled in me a strong work ethic, effective communication, and the ability to work under pressure. My responsibilities included leading and training new employees, which allowed me to develop leadership and critical thinking skills.
