About

I am a self-driven, dedicated and creative professional with a wealth of highly transferable skills gained within the IT sector. I work well under pressure and am able to demonstrate the organisational and time management skills required to meet tight deadlines. I thrive on technical challenge, rapidly taking on new skills and successfully resolving complex problems through an analytical approach. I possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally with customers and colleagues and to build and maintain productive working relationships. I work equally well on my own initiative and as part of a team, adapting well to changing situations and prioritising tasks effectively. Because much of my working day is now taken up managing my team, I spend a good deal of my leisure time programming. This includes: • ASP.Net web development – In an attempt to provide a fair and robust solution for myself and my colleagues’ car sharing I have developed a ‘driving rota’ website. • Java development – I am working on a scheduling / middleware application which I’m hoping to use in a home automation project. • Reverse engineering my house alarm in order to integrate it into home automation. • I have just begun learning to use Linux on a home server and Raspberry Pi • Arduino development
