Currently a managing partner at GAMA Capital Jonas was a founding partner at BR Investments and at Bozano Investimentos an Asset Management firm originated from the merging of BR Investimentos and Mercatto Gestão de Recursos. Jonas has a Phd in Mathematics from the Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA), Rio de Janeiro. Former scientist in the field of Computer Graphics, Vision and Image Processing, with extensive entrepreneurial and business development expertise and a solid knowledge of the Venture Capital and Private Equity industry. Jonas pioneered 3D computer graphics R&D in Brazil as the R&D manager of the software development team that originally developed the technology at Globo Television. Jonas founded the VISGRAF LAB, a Computer Graphics research group at INPA and he has written several books and research papers in the field of Computer Graphics, vision and image processing. He has received a recognition from the Ministry of Science and Technology as a "Constructor of the Brazilian Internet" because he was part of the team that founded RNP (Rede Nacional de Pesquisas) the landmark project that started internet activities in Brazil with the deployment of the domain .BR that deployed the brazilian internet. In the year 2000 Jonas joined Opportunity (a major investment group in Brazil) where he was responsible for investments in internet startup companies, and other activities involving venture capital, private equity.
