Overall responsibility for Manufacturing Technology strategy, roadmap and knowledge development of the Mother & Child Care Product Industrialization group. Leading the Product industrialization Technology Team and co-developing with the Product industrialization leaders all content for overall Mother and Child Care Projects, acting as cross-projects Technology Leader and single point of contact for all relevant project content including Advanced Development that supports the industrial technology strategy roadmap. Overall responsibility for leading Technology content for large improvement Projects, acting as single point of contact for the Product Industrialization group. Acting as the interface to Innovation Design teams, conducting thorough design review studies regarding new and advanced technology requirements to ensure robust designs for manufacturing are fulfilled. Lead the technology voice in specifications & requirements of capital equipment investments, conducting robust supplier selection for all new Tooling and Technology projects acting as gatekeeper for final technology decisions. Manage external Technology suppliers and development of strategic business partners. Strategic development of structural modular technology processes for multi-site product introductions.
Management of the site Central Engineering Team to support world class, flawless project execution. Management of the Central Engineering Engineering Team deliverables for all New Product Introduction projects and site wide high-value Process Improvement CAPEX projects. Act as matrix site functional leader for all onsite Engineering Teams. Act as the Engineering Role Model, coach and develop all Technical teams onsite. Challenge project technical status and push capability boundaries. Champion resolution of major technical issues/problem solving. Resource management of the Central Engineering Team, including forecasting, fulfillment, levelling. Interface with PO Manager for project priorities, managing allocation of resource to NPI/LCM and escalation support to site Value Streams as required. Daily management of team KPI's including: Drive recruitment, team building, Core Competence development and succession planning.
Owner of the AVENT NPI LSR Technology Core Competence (CC). Establish world class industrialisation leadership in CC elements, benchmarking current best practices and technology sweeping for future LSR developments. Data driven and scientific approach to knowledge development with full justification for best practices. Ensure CC knowledge is captured in a format for transfer/communication to the wider audience. Develop CC specifics to meet future business needs, aligning with Marketeers, I&D etc. Ensure all aspects of CC space is covered - Technology, Process (creation, assembly etc.), Tooling, Equipment, Verification and Validation techniques. Key metrics are Performance, Cost, Quality and Time-to-Market. Drive scientific approaches to understand true function and boundaries (analysis, experimentation, liaison with universities, suppliers, industry leaders etc.) Drive Technology & Function Creation projects with CC knowledge. Support global M&CC NPI project teams with CC knowledge
