Head of the expanded Marketing & Commercial Excellence (MCE) department within the newly created International Business Unit (IBU) in Takeda. The MCE function is responsible for leading Takeda's marketing strategy, marketing execution & transformation, insights & analytics and commercial capabilities within the IBU and I'm proud to lead the teams of skilled professionals in these functions that work closely with all IBU affiliates and global colleagues. I provide the commercial leadership voice to the President of IBU and the IBU Leadership Team. Previously, Head of Central, South and Eastern Europe leading Takeda affiliates in 25 small to mid-sized countries in the region. P&L accountability for ~$2Bn in revenues and ~800 staff across the affiliates and the CSEE core team based in Zurich. 9 General Managers / Country Cluster Heads as direct reports. Member of EFPIA European Markets Committee. Member of Takeda European Executive Leadership Team. Before this role, I was Head of Portfolio & Pipeline Team for the EUCAN region within Takeda, leading the Regional Franchise Teams to work with Global and Country LOC colleagues to ensure Takeda's current portfolio of medicines and pipeline assets have the right strategies and datasets to make the biggest impact for patients in Europe and Canada. 20+ years of UK/IE commercial experience including 4 years as General Manager of Takeda UK and Ireland, successfully leading Takeda through a huge period of change with the acquisition of Shire, BREXIT and the Covid-19 pandemic. Numerous external positions held, including ABPI Board membership and Chair of the Japanese Pharmaceutical Group. Strong commercial, marketing and clinical background across wide range of therapy areas with demonstrated track record of success in Oncology, GI, rare diseases and diabetes. In depth knowledge and success in leading market access and product launches in UK. Particularly strong in collaborative leadership, commercial acumen, coaching and clinical skills. UK registered PhD pharmacist.

Leadership of a region of 25 small to mid-sized countries in Central, South and Eastern Europe, with ~800 employees, 9 area / country manager direct reports and an agile CSEE HQ core team. Full P&L accountability for ~$2B in revenue and high single digit growth within the region. Responsible for the entire Takeda portfolio in the region across rare disease, plasma derived therapies, GI, neuroscience, oncology and vaccines. The CSEE region is the largest within the EUCAN region in terms of revenue and employees. Takeda representative to EFPIA EMC Committee.
