About

I am a Singaporean Chinese who decided to study in the UK after travelling around Europe during my gap year and thoroughly enjoying the experience. One of my hobbies is travelling, and I love meeting people from different nationalities and backgrounds. This passion for connecting with others influenced my early work experiences in customer service, guest relations, and promoting products, which I believe are transferable skills that helped prepare me for a profession in law. I enjoy advocacy and have participated in internal and inter-varsity mooting, winning a land law moot on easements. I have also mentored and judged students in mooting competitions, including guiding an A-level student as her partner in a pro bono project. During my time at university, I served on the committee of the Devon & Exeter Medico-Legal Association (DEMLA), organising events such as a debate on medical law and a talk by a leading personal injury barrister on the landmark decision in Montgomery v Lanarkshire Health Board [2015]. After completing my studies in the UK, I returned to Singapore to build my legal career. I began as a fee-earning Paralegal at multinational law firm Clifford Chance, before transitioning into an in-house role as an Assistant Manager (Legal) at global food and beverage company Suntory F&B International Group. I then joined international offshore law firm Walkers as a fee-earning Paralegal, returning to Clifford Chance to support the Global Financial Markets team before being promoted to Legal Project Manager. I am now continuing my journey as an Associate (Legal) at Dymon Asia Capital, a leading Asia-focused alternative investment management firm. Outside of work, I enjoy dining, cooking, travelling, and exploring art, history, and psychology. My hobbies also include photography, vlogging, and drone flying- I currently own four pet robots! I enjoy solving riddles, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and am an avid fan of Formula 1 (inspired by Formula 1: Drive to Survive). I hope to play tennis someday, though for now, I am content with watching it and cheering from the sidelines.
