One day I took a breath. In that breath, I realized everything I've done in my work life until now didn't matter. I've lived a happy life with a good family, but the time I spent in my work life was ultimately meaningless. Why even live at all? Many people judge their self-worth based upon prestige. What kind of job do you have, what is your title, how much money you make, and how big is your team? Others judge their self-worth based upon the products they have developed. How much money did it make, how many people used it, how much press did it get? And a few will ultimately value their self-worth based upon the impact they've had on other people. As Clayton Christensen wrote in "How Will You Measure Your Life?" "Worry about the individuals you have helped become better people. This is my final recommendation: Think about the metric by which your life will be judged, and make a resolution to live every day so that in the end, your life will be judged a success." At Lila Games, we are building an opportunity platform to create an organization for those who seek to become the best they can be, the opportunity to do so.
What if there was a better way to operate a company? What if the world were undergoing structural changes that would dramatically shift the way in which corporations and employees need to operate for success? What if people could learn and improve as part of a learning organization more than anyone previously thought possible? What if we could build the most badass F2P mobile shooter game ever designed in the history of the world? And most importantly: What if we could create an opportunity platform giving people with the desire to achieve something great in their life, the opportunity to actually achieve their dreams?
Building content and communities to discuss and debate F2P game development. GameMakers is both a public and private channel for advancing F2P game development best practices, thought leadership, and innovation. A modern day, virtual/digital Churchill Club and industry tribe.
